Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a cosmetic and therapeutic procedure in which a blood sample is used and then divided into its three main components:
- Red Blood Cells (~45%)
- White Blood Cells (<1%)
- Plasma or Serum (~55%)
This "PRP" is administered using micro-needles in the desired areas to allow these growth factors to come into contact with skin cells, stimulating cellular repair, and consequently, rejuvenation and collagen production.
For best results, combinations with other methods like microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, chemical peels, and radiofrequency are possible.
The initial effect appears after approximately two days, with increased skin radiance and smoothness. Around 20 to 30 days later, there is increased skin tightness and improvements in spots and sagging.
Precautions to take:
It's advisable for the patient to return home after the PRP procedure, as they should avoid sun exposure, creams, makeup, exercise, and anything that could irritate the treated area in the first few hours.
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes. Includes a facial cleansing.
