How many sessions will I need? The face usually needs more than the body — between eight and ten, every four weeks — because facial hair grows in shorter cycles. After that, maintenance a couple of times a year.

What if the hair appeared suddenly? Facial hair in women almost always has a hormonal explanation behind it. If you notice it appeared quickly or changed texture, it's worth checking with your doctor before starting: while the cause remains active, the hair keeps regenerating and the laser works against it. The same applies if you take biotin or any medication that affects hair growth or loss. We'll tell you so at your assessment, even if it means you don't book today.

Before your session:

• The area must be completely shaved with a razor, with no deodorant.
• Wear a white bra.
• If you are taking or about to start any medication, let us know before your session so we can verify it is not photosensitive.

After your session:

• Use sun protection.
• Do not use alcohol-based products or deodorant right after the session.
• Avoid hot baths, heavy sweating and massages for 5 days.

Not candidates:

• Pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Blonde or gray hair.
• Vitiligo.
